Willy Leichter
I hired Dev to develop international marketing for my team during the height of the pandemic. He got immediate results and was always a pleasure to work with. He has the rare ability to understand corporate marketing in depth, and then apply it to the unique requirements of each region. Dev has one of those infectious can-do attitudes that makes him a pivotal member of any marketing team. When he knows it, he owns it and creates amazing results. When he needs to learn it, he dives in, and ultimately creates amazing results. He joined Virsec a few months before I did and before the marketing team embarked on some significant change with operations and lead strategy, team structure and dynamics, and even the story and brand. Given that International is the biggest sales segment for the company, Dev has a very big job, and he rolled with the changes and didn't lose sight of his goals along the way. Dev is a natural marketing leader and he has strong expertise from demand gen to communications, even helping to manage the international PR agencies. I'd say his superpower is channel marketing, however, and I've met few people who understand how to market with and support the channel as well as he does. That is a critical skill especially at such a small company that really needs force multiplication as part of its growth strategy. On team calls, I would often joke that he was always smiling, which made it hard for me to not smile -- even when many of those calls happened at 9 p.m. his time due to our team spread. He has a wonderful work ethic and aligns well with sales to create the most impactful marketing. I would love to work with Dev again someday if the stars ever align.
