The Federal TRIO Programs provides support and services to individuals from disadvantaged backgrounds. The TRIO Educational Opportunity Center program is one of the eight programs targeted to assist and serve low-income individuals, individuals with disabilities, and first-generation college students. • Recruiting program participants in Bowie (TX), Cass (TX), Miller (AR), Little River (AR), and Hempstead (AR) county who are at least 19 years old and meets one or more of the following eligibility requirements low-income individuals and/or first-generation college student.• Assist participants one-on-one or in groups with completing the college admissions application, financial aid (FAFSA) application, scholarships, transferring, and coaching through the college selection process and career decisions• Reviewing participant intake forms to determine program eligibility and utilizing Blumen TRIO database system to enter demographics and documentation of services • Presenting at parent and family engagement nights, high schools, community resource fairs, on-campus events, and more to inform individuals about TRIO-EOC services and educational opportunities.• Identifying and addressing student needs by partnering with community leaders and organizations to bring resources to campus.
