Nurul Shazlynn Shah
I had the honour of mentoring Desmond during his time at GA’s UX Design Immersive course. Whether he’s working on individual projects or collaborating with others, Desmond demonstrated a strong work ethic, consistently ready to go above and beyond to produce high-quality work and deliver great results. This made him a great student to teach and mentor. One of his greatest strengths is his curiosity and willingness to learn, and is always open to constructive feedback that will help to hone his craft. There were many times where the instructor and I were able to advise Desmond on his strengths and some areas of improvement, and he took it in stride each time. His communication skills are excellent, having worked with people from diverse backgrounds in his previous stint as Principal Photographer at his own studio. Desmond’s positive attitude will undoubtedly be an asset to any team, and I believe that he will excel in whatever he chooses to do in the future.

In these projects, I am often involved in stakeholder/project management, and I regularly collaborate with public relations and marketing teams to meet their communication needs.
