• Currently acts as Incident Commander/ Leadership for all airport emergencies such as aircraft alerts, snow emergencies, severe weather, security breaches, train system shutdowns, medical emergencies, power failures, hazardous materials incidents, wildlife concerns and bomb threats or any other terminal/concourse emergencies as well as landside roadway incidents that may impact passenger flow through the facility. Notifies Airport Senior Staff and the Chief Executive Officer of any condition or activities that may be, or which may evolve into possible media interests. • Supervisory responsibilities are to participate in planning and managing budget systems as well as preparing and presenting budget recommendations to higher management when requested and adjusting work plans/activities as a result of budget changes. This includes leading airfield (25 personnel) and terminal operations groups (15 personnel) to ensure efficient flow, safety, and adherence to applicable federal and local rules and regulations. I also supervise the work of other various operational staff involved in the efficient movement of aircraft and the safety of the traveling public. • Negotiate and coordinate with FAA, contractors, airlines, airport security, engineering, maintenance, tenants, and others to balance the needs of each group to optimize aircraft and vehicle flow rates while accomplishing critical airport maintenance activities with a minimum impact on the operation of the airport. As the primary point of contact, this teamwork ensures that the flow of information is continuous, efficient and effective between the groups. Show less
