      Advocate for dependents of the Court for San Mateo County. I spend 15-20 hrs a month with the dependent youth. I choose to work with younger children. I volunteer in their school, make sure all their needs are met, the Court plan is being followed and give them experiences they might not normally had. Social Workers, Foster Parents, Lawyers can all change, but I am the constant in their life.. When it comes time for Court, I write a report describing the child and her interests, how she is doing in school and home and activities we do. I give my recommendation to the Court about what situation is in her best interest. I am her voice in Court. Show less
