Bio
Natasha Esteves, Ed.M.
Desiré is easily one of the most organized and talented curriculum writers I have come across! It was a pleasure working with her during our time developing - in a team setting - a 9-12 ELA curriculum for one of the country's largest school districts. Pressures were high, as were the stakes, during what was often emotionally taxing work we all wanted to do our very best at. Desiré stood out to me as someone with a calm demeanor and time management skills I aspire to and whose efficiency meant I had the honor of having her review my lesson plans since she often completed hers early. Most importantly (in my opinion), Desiré was a warm, kind, and incredibly supportive colleague who often made me feel seen and heard. I strongly believe she has a set of skills, talents, and character traits that serve as an immense asset to any education organization that brings her on board!
Jessica Covella, M.A. Curriculum and Instruction
Working with Desiré has been a pleasure. Guided by her curriculum design leadership, I have felt a unique and powerful combination of autonomy, support, and camaraderie. Desiré is very dedicated, reflective, and approachable. She fosters an inclusive and joyful team atmosphere, where all voices are heard and respected. Not only does she truly care about the quality of the design work for students and teachers, she also cares about her professional colleagues' well-being and contributions to the work. Desiré consistently prioritizes what is best in curriculum writing, making space for new perspectives, multiple important components, and revisions. She also makes coming to work fun and enjoyable, and has a wonderful sense of humor. It has been a gift to work with and learn from her.
