Meeting Deryk was a valuable moment in my career with Schlumberger. I met Deryk when I relocated to Elk city in 2014 where he was a senior field engineer at that time. From the moment I started working with Deryk I realized he was a reliable engineer and a helpful co-worker. He presented himself a solid specialist with great knowledge of services and significant crew management experience. Thanks to his personal skills, I was a witness of how willingly operators worked with Deryk in a team. He helped me to transition to the new department of open hole tools. Deryk willingly took me on jobs with him to share his experience where he was a lead engineer. I learnt from Deryk that having a great knowledge of tools and services you work with along with being outgoing and welcome with your team are the two essential parts of a successful and safe operation. I look forward to working with Deryk in the future should the chance arrive.

Deryk was my mentor during my time at Schlumberger. He is an individual with consistent positive and professional attitude even during the tough times. Deryk possessed and demonstrated an in-depth knowledge of both the business and technical needs of the client. I have learned a great deal under his mentorship. I highly believe he is an asset to any team he works for and I hope to have an opportunity with work him again.
