AREA OF RESPONSIBILITY Evaporators, Soda Recovery Furnaces, Chemical Plant, Lime Kilns and Crude Tall Oil PlantDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Leads a multidisciplinary team assigned to the Chemical Recovery plant (55 direct reports, 30 indirect reports). Defines key performance indicators (KPI), as well as the monthly and annual objectives, in the areas of quality, cost, delivery, safety/people and environment (QCDPE) for my subordinates and for their respective domains, aligned with the sectional goals, budget and the S-H-E-Q system. Monitors monthly the performance of my own plant against the QCDPE objectives given by the pulp mill manager, and takes corrective action, when objectives are not met. Reports the plant performance against the QCDPE objectives. Ensures the plant’s conformance to the OSHA 18000, ISO 9002 and ISO 14000 systems. Manages S-H-E-Q system by focusing on the job and operational analysis, and monitors monthly the plant’s and personnel’s performance against the S-H-E-Q objectives. Runs TPM process, i.e. facilitates the plant and process analysis sessions, root cause analysis, the supervisor development program as well as the profit (continuous) improvement program (PIP). Plans the plant operations to ensure the maximum utilization of the resources (raw materials, energy and people). Makes a short term plan (budget) and a long term plan (up to 5 years) and executes the plans to develop the machinery, the people and the best practices to ensure a continuous improvement of the section performance. Responds to the customer feedback and takes corrective action if required. Initiates and supports the development of the existing and new products when required. Carries out incident investigations.
