  • Brought youth together from two different parishes to become ONE youth group. Our youth group consisted of White, African American, and Hispanic youth. This is not common for the Mississippi Delta where the majority of the churches are still completely segregated by race. My goal was to get the youth to EMBRACE DIVERSITY which is the vision of the Diocese of Jackson. • Put on a Life Teen program for the youth from Jan. 2017 – Apr. 2018 (met every Wed. during the school year) • Coordinated the Greenwood Canned Food Drive. This event took place every year at Immaculate Heart of Mary. All churches in Greenwood were invited to join us as we went around town to collect Canned Food for our local food pantry. We collected over 10,000 cans throughout the community. • Planned and put on a Youth Night one Sunday a month (game night, movie night, service project). • Took the youth to Abbey Youth Fest, NET Retreats, Bowling Trips, Water Park Trips. • Put on the annual IHM Halloween Carnival and Adopt a Family which is an annual Christmas program in which the youth provide gifts for community children in need.
