Introduced discovery learning to students through mystery questions, building own trenches, and individual exploration followed by discussion on what was learned. Created lessons and learning opportunities using the historical thinking concepts throughout instruction and assessment. 4 weeks, Practicum, Sydenham High School, Sydenham ON, 2014 Civics Assumed responsibilities for a grade 10 Civics class. Differentiated instruction strategies to complement all learners in my classroom including classroom discussions, individual work, presentations, mock parliamentary and UN sessions, and collaborative group work. Prepared different opportunities for assessment including assessment for, as, and of learning: diagnostic questioning, exit cards, presentations, and unit tests. Effectively established classroom management and created an inclusive learning environment.
