Derick has proven time and time again that he contains the tenacity and drive to accomplish great things within an organization. He has shown the mental compacity to learn a difficult topic such as firewalls, and become a subject matter expert within a short period of time. To build upon this, Derick has a compassionate heart that is all to often dismissed in a work environment that generates a sense of cohesion and trust within the team and those that he works with. While working together on the GPS project, I found that he brought out the best in the team and challenged them to remove themselves from their comfort zone and be a better engineer, as well as a better individual. I highly recommend Derick for his strengths as a Network Engineer and his remarkebly kind heart for any role or position that he chooses to pursue in his career.
