I had the pleasure of working with Derek while he was running the Chili Cook Off event as part of an academic course. I have worked with many students over the years for this particular event, and never have I had opportunity to work with a student who asked to set regular meeting times, arrived early to every meeting, had his notes out and accomplished all tasks on time. I was incredibly impressed and highly encouraged him to become a full-time event planner. Incredibly approachable, organized, and efficient. Exactly the type of employee I want on my staff.
