Derek was one of those rare managers who naturally served as an inspiring mentor for me as well as the whole staff at JJS Electronics. At a personal level Derek's mentoring skills changed my life. Today, I can openly say I have only been able to achieve my success through Derek's professional encouragement and support. Throughout my career, Derek's qualities have been most notably translated in his ability to motivate a team to care about its project and to invest in the project’s success. Derek is the go-to person for conflict resolution and problem solving; when tension is high in boardroom meetings, he steps in to diffuse and induce compromise. Though he’s never one to draw attention to himself, Derek's positive attitude and the respect others feel towards him are palpable.

Derek has an attitude that cannot fail but to drive a company forward. He has a passion for delivering what the customer wants but maintains the focus on quality. He leads and motivates those around him to perform with excellence. I very much enjoyed working with him.

Kingfield Electronics specialise in providing world class Contract Electronics Manufacturing (CEM) solutions to companies operating a variety of high reliability, high quality, function critical market sectors. Since 1985 Kingfield Electronics has continued to attract market leading, high expectation customers with a requirement to out-source either all, or a significant part of their product manufacturing requirements. Our core competencies far exceed just manufacturing as we typically provide total product management solutions to organisations with a zero-touch manufacturing strategy. This encompasses design and design support, engineering support, global procurement and supply chain management, manufacturing, test, configuration, shipping, field service and whole life support including Obsolescence management. In short, we are able to take on board the management of a product’s entire life-cycle from initial conceptual requirements through to ongoing manufacturing and delivery of configured product to the final end user.
