Thesis: Effects of microclimate on the distributions of larval mosquitoes in a tropical forest - oil palm gradient • Performed three months of intensive field work in Malaysian Borneo to examine the thermal effects of forest fragmentation on mosquito populations • Conducted multi-tier statistical analyses in R using both generalized linear and linear models • Collected mosquito larvae using oviposition traps to determine the microclimate distribution • Ran experiments to empirically test each species’ maximum thermal tolerances • Contributed field/experimental data to the Sustainability of Altered Forest Ecosystems database Show less
