It was exciting becoming familiar with On-Demand Packaging, Right Sizing, and other lean and mean philosophies that are revolutionizing the corrugated packaging industry. The BOX ON DEMAND solution alleviates inventory, streamlines the supply chain, and reduces shipping costs EVERY TIME! I built and managed an in-house video studio and staff that generated informative video content and imagery to populate a new website, www.boxondemand.com. Check out my cameos on the video page! Technology was showcased regularly at events across North America and multiple industries, furthering my exposure to the magical world of trade shows. Show less

Launched a line of high-end massage chairs into the US market. Captured over 40% market share with flawless reputation. Developed nation-wide "white glove delivery" program and relationships. Developed in-store POP, informational DVDs, and quick-operation guides. Developed product refurbishing program and re-marketing strategy of B-goods. Performed nationwide sales training at 80 Sharper Image and 100 Relax The Back retail locations. Category management including strategic business planning, pricing, profit & loss responsibility. After 5+ years I was asked to tie the entire massage chair business up into a nice package and offer exclusive sales rights to an independent distributor...working myself out of a job! "Americanized" and grew SANYO's small appliance category. Developing products and recipes for acceptance outside of the niche Asian-American channel. Developed all product literature with realized customer satisfaction and usability improvement. Seized opportunities with non-traditional sales channels resulting in significant category growth. Established and maintained professional relationship with master chef Martin Yan. Re-branded SANYO consumer battery business including eneloop rechargeable batteries and products. Complete overhaul of existing packaging design and marketing statements. Re-messaged the eneloop rechargeable battery product line. Eneloop named Consumer Reports top rechargeable battery December 2009. Drove increased sales through non-traditional sales channels. Introduced a line of environmentally-responsible rechargeable hand warmers to the US market. Entered the musical instrument market with a revolutionary battery system for guitar pedal accessories. I worked hard at Fedders for about six months, it was a difficult battle, trying to manufacture in China, expecting the quality they once had out of the USA. You can't beat the name of the town though,...Effingham! I managed the tasks and master schedules for several fabric care projects simultaneously. Not a bad job, but a ton of meetings. Couldn't transition into sales so I hit the beach.

Beginning as an intern at Whirlpool Corporation, I was heavily involved in the development of a revolutionary and high-efficiency washing machine platform that eventually led to the widespread acceptance of European front-loading washing machines in the USA. This was the largest project to-date in Whirlpool laundry so I spent eight years learning the ins and outs of the appliance industry. At times I would be running a strategic roadmap or technical issues meeting with V.P. level management and an hour later, turning a wrench or testing prototype parts. I ran numerous logistics audits resulting in improved freight handling and product safety. Responsible for the overall master test and codes verification schedules for multiple projects simultaneously, I helped drive resolution of cosmetic, technical, logistical, codes & safety, and branding issues. The breadth of my responsibilities offered direct exposure to Senior Management in the Corporate Sales & Marketing side of the business which led to many great opportunities to represent the company both nationally and globally. I truly could not have taken a more diverse look at appliance product development & manufacturing. Show less

As a summer intern, I was annually exposed to the largest product development projects in Whirlpool's history. Most time was spent developing and using test equipment for global and domestic laundry projects and analyzing the data found. Provided sales training and training equipment to trade partners.
