  I am a data specialist creating centralized and unique data systems to advocate for strategic business decisions and effective equipping of bible translators around the world. Data can be used to get a true picture of what is happening around the world, and so my job is to collect, wrangle, and clean the data so that we have a more true vision of the needs of bible translation organizations and how to put in their hands the proper tools for the work God has called them to do.   This work was as a consultant working with the Center for Disease Control, connecting Lab and Epidemiologist teams through complex data management. My primary work focus is on the illness Acute Flaccid Myelitis or AFM, which is a very rare and severe illness that is causing muscle weakness and paralysis mainly in children. Every step forward in data management and analysis allows us to better understand the illness to then react and help those who are affected. This work was as a consultant working with the Center for Disease Control, connecting Lab and Epidemiologist teams through complex data management. As a lab we are funded by Gerber and are working on research that has a viable impact and can make a difference in the medical field for pediatricians. In joint with leading a team of undergraduates, I also have my own research that I am pursuing through the lab.
