I've shared this with Derek personally, but it's nice to put it out there for everyone. His faithfulness to God's sovereignty is remarkable knowing that there's no way I was the only high schooler that attended Young Life solely as a social activity. However, as life and the Lord would have it, I found myself personally lost some years later and it was Derek's teachings and wisdom that I heard in my head. Truly like seeds that were planted were his words, finally growing years later. His ability to connect with people of all ages and interests in remarkable. May God continue to bless Derek.
