• Improve housing placement and retention rates for people who have transitioning from literal homelessness to a new home including tenant mediation strategies. • Keep housing data and provide administrative duties to support the work. • Conduct landlord recruitment on behalf of the Metro Homeless Impact Division and its partners. • Assist both tenants and landlords in meeting requirements for participating in rent subsidy programs (Section 8, VASH, etc) and communicating with other agencies as needed. • Work in tandem with other staff to provide housing data information and enter data into Excel and Web-based programs as needed. • Verify eligibility for rental and utility assistance for new and prospective tenants, organize files for business operations and analyze data on a large number of people requesting and receiving assistance. • Organize and supervise planning meetings as requested by the director. • Familiar with local, state, and federal plans to prevent and end homelessness and best-practices approaches. • Act as liaison between the Metropolitan Development and Housing Agency (MDHA) and housing navigators who are completing applications for prioritized Section 8 housing subsidies and other housing programs administered by MDHA. • Assist in completing monthly grant reimbursement reports for the Community Development Block Grant. • Process and submit A/R financial payments for clients including move in assistance payments, utility payments as well as liaison for obtaining invoices from landlords. • Trained and shadowed home inspection team of MDHA to be qualified to identify safety and damage standards in order for landlords to utilize mitigation & risk fund.
