Educational Talent Search Director (September 1997 to May 2007): Directed federally funded service program designed to assist young people in grades six through twelve with limited financial resources receive information about college admissions requirements, scholarships, and financial aid programs. Duties included proper administration of budgets in accordance with university and federal guidelines; program evaluation; coordination of the student advising, tutorial and academic component of the program; supervision of the Talent Search staff; liaison with Washington, D.C. Office of TRIO Programs, partner schools, community agencies and other student service programs. Project Upward Bound Director (December 1992 to May 2007): Directed federally funded service program designed to assist high school students with limited financial resources obtain necessary skills and motivation to enroll in and be successful at a college or university.
