My role at Liquid is to provide solutions for our clients. Wether that solution is to run a cable or discuss their needs and design a solution that meets their needs within budget and scope; I do it all. Learning about products on the micro and macro scales are all part of a days work where being able to switch hats at a moments notice comes with the territory. People are hard: finding out what individuals require on an interpersonal level is my specialty which enables me to provide a tailored solution for each client and stakeholder throughout the entire project process Show less

During my time at Marshall Installs I was a fundamental factor in growing the company from a 2 man company to a company with two warehouses and an office in Auckland with about 15 staff. I have learnt many skills both on and off the tools and I am proud of what the team and company became during my tenure. At The Good Guys I wanted to challenge myself and expand my abilities. I took it upon myself to learn about the other aspects of the business starting with learning about the other sales departments to a level where I was just as comfortable solution selling in every department. Once I had achieved this level of aptitude, I then chose to learn about the other aspects of the business: I learnt how to receive and order goods in the warehouse, as well as picking and storing inwards good including operating the stock picker equipment. In addition I learnt how to do many of the cashiering tasks including processing payments of all types (finance, cash, eftpos and vouchers/gift cards). Receipting and processing faulty/product returns and also taking and directing (when necessary) customer phone calls. Show less

I was tasked to re-design the physical and digital interface for the Umpire Control Gun for their MILES training equipment. The interface needed to be extremely versatile, robust and lightweight due to the fact the device was to be used in extreme weather conditions. It needed to be easy to understand for people of varying technical abilities and cultures/languages. I employed many design techniques and principals from ergonomics, wireframe and card sort, through to hierarchy, Fitt's Law and the Pareto principal to hit the specified requirements. For the physical aspects of the device, I used adjacent industries to draw inspiration that would not only provide a form that provided fantastic and appropriate visuals today, but also a form that would look just as great in 20 years time. Throughout my tenure at Harvey Norman I used my technical aptitude and love of electronics to engage and provide my customers with the best solution(s) for their need(s): whether it was through selling them new products or providing advise in how they could alter their current situation. Whatever provided them with the best outcome and solution.
