I had the privilege of working alongside Denny as my manager, and I can confidently say that he is one of the best individuals I've had the pleasure of working with. Denny and I formed a strong partnership, complementing each other's strengths and weaknesses, which significantly contributed to our implementation's success. Beyond being an exceptional manager, Denny quickly became a trusted friend, making every day at work enjoyable and motivating. It was a difficult decision for me to leave the company, as the working dynamic with Denny was truly remarkable. We have maintained a valuable connection, and I am grateful for the continued friendship. I highly recommend Denny for any team or organization seeking a talented leader who fosters a positive and collaborative work environment.

It has been my pleasure to work for Dennis "Denny" Butler the last 6 months. He walked into a difficult situation at Henry Wurst Inc, as the entire development team and IT Director, had left the organization prior to his arrival. Denny built a team that complimented each others strengths and help cover our shortcomings. Under Denny's leadership, we have been executing a plan to right the ship. And the last couple of months have been significantly better than my first few weeks. Denny has advocated IT transparency since before my first day. This has started restoring the organizations confidence in our department. He has always been professional and straight forward with us, and we have greatly appreciated it. If given the chance to work with Denny again in the future, I will jump at the chance without hesitation.

I am responsible for oversight of all IT functions across two locations, including IT systems, application development, network systems, Marketing and Communications technology, and Help Desk. Primarily, I lead the organization through the strategic development of a corporate IT plan that aligns with the company’s business objectives. My main initiatives during my tenure include: • Team building and Leadership – I have had the opportunity to rebuild the development team for Henry Wurst, Inc in my first 3 months. Hired 3 developers and stabilized an IT team that transitioned from legacy staff. In addition, I implemented project management and Key Performance Indicators to evaluate performance and decrease error rates. • Project Management – Led several key development projects at risk of failure to a successful outcome. These projects had direct customer impact and potential for significant lost revenue if not successful. In addition, I have led several other client-facing IT projects including development projects, IBM Watson email campaigns, Marketing storefront, and marketing email blast campaigns. Lastly, internal business and IT projects necessary to ensure success of business objectives. • Disaster Recovery and Information Security – Review and assess corporate disaster recovery and information security posture. Work with existing and new vendors to evaluate key areas for improvement. Create/Update appropriate policies and train the organization. Lead the formation of an Infosec/IT governance committee to provide oversight. • Client management – Working with the Sales team and account managers, interact directly with clients on IT projects, Information/data security, and Request for Proposal processes. • Corporate – Member of the Executive committee responsible for Strategic planning and corporate budgeting. Member of Safety committee responsible for oversight and compliance with OSHA regulations and training. Show less
