Denny was popular and approachable with both staff and students. His professional approach, willingness to take on responsibility and a "can do" attitude ensured respect amongst the management too. This is highlighted in his continued involvement in the programme. Even with over twelve years in education and having worked in several summer schools, I learnt a lot from Denny. Such as a high work ethic and diligence in all aspects of the learning environment such as involvement in out of class activities and a fresh approach to language teaching and a real empathy with the students.
