West Branch DuPage Regional Trail | Winfield & West Chicago, IL | PROJECT / RESIDENT ENGINEERForest Preserve District of DuPage County, IL - The construction of a 17,500 ft bicycle trail. The trail connects to the Geneva Spur of the Illinois Prairie Path in the Winfield Mounds Forest Preserve. It traverses through downtown Winfield and the West DuPage Woods Forest Preserve. ERA’s services include data collection, topographic survey, environmental studies (PESA), drainage studies, hydraulic bridge report, public involvement, preparation of a Project Development Report for CE Group I, permitting and final engineering documents. ERA assisted the Forest Preserve in successfully securing both CMAQ and ITEP funding for this project. Phase II engineering went through the IDOT Letting process while Phase III will follow IDOT documentation requirements.Oak-Illinois-Western Water Main and Western Road Reconstruction | Northbrook, IL | RESIDENT ENGINEERPhase III engineering services for the replacement of water main along Oak Avenue, Illinois Road and Western Avenue in the Village of Northbrook. Work will also include complete reconstruction of approximately 3,100 feet of Western Avenue. Approximately 12,400 feet of new water main replaced the existing cast iron mains that have an extensive break history. The project corridor is lined with primarily residential properties and is also home to Wescott School on Western Avenue. In addition to coordination with residents, design and construction was discussed with District 30 staff in an effort to minimize impacts to the school’s schedule and operations.

Dennis is also providing construction support for the Illinois State Toll Highway Authority systemwide contracts as a member of the Tollway’s General Engineering Consultant team. Primary responsibilities for this role include Quarterly / Final / Warranty: Walk Thru’s and oversight.I-90 Widening and Reconstruction – Illinois State Toll Highway Authority Dennis is part of the CM team to widen and reconstruct the Jane Addams Memorial Tollway from IL Route 31 to IL Route 47. He observed construction operations for CRC Paving, Signage, MSE Slabs, Drainage, Landscaping, Bridge Deck, and Substructures.Smoothness Testing - Illinois State Toll Highway Authority Dennis is part of a small team that performs all the Smoothness testing for Performance Base PCC Pavement for the widening and reconstruction of the Jane Addams Memorial Tollway.

Chicago Electronic Fish Barrier 2B, - USACERomeoville, Illinois, 2010 This $16 million federally funded project; consists of a set of electrical arrays and control house. Smith-Root, Inc. of Vancouver, WA designed the technology and electrical components, EP Doyle constructed the building to house the components. The building design required 12” thick - double reinforced architectural concrete walls. Blast proof sealed rooms, with blast louvers, and a tapered built-up concrete roof deck. Dennis is employed as a Contracting Quality Control System Manager to report to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. Located on the I & M Canal in Romeoville, Illinois. Responsibilities unique to this project included:• Daily documentation of work activities in USACE – QCS.• Conduct preparatory, initial, & follow-up; meetings with all subcontractors for each definable feature of work.• Track all QC requirements as defined by the Construction Specifications and Document the results of the Inspections & Test in the Quality Control System Database.• Verify quantities and payouts• Track submittals

North Tri-State Corridor Construction Manager – Illinois State Tollway AuthorityCorridor Construction Management Team for the reconstruction and widening of the southern portion of the North Tri-State Tollway. The corridor limits include all roadways and cross road bridges from Balmoral Avenue to Lake Cook Road. The program includes 14 individual construction contracts with a total estimated cost of completion near $700 million. Primary duties include investigating and resolving field related construction issues with each individual CM, providing real-time updates to Tollway, as various construction related events occur, oversight inspection of concrete structures and pavement, bridge construction, sub grade preparation, toll plaza reconstruction, and M.O.T. staging.I-294 South Tri-State Reconstruction 111th to Cal-Sag River – Illinois TollwayField Engineer for the South I-294 Tri-State Tollway reconstruction project. The project included total reconstruction and widening of southbound and northbound lanes, as well as, 127th Street and Cicero Avenue interchange reconstruction. Dennis was responsible for material coordination with Illinois Tollway and three different Construction Management consultant firms. As well as the inspection of embankment widening, substructures, landscaping and QC/QA material Interstate 20 over Prairie & Simpson Road, Rockford, IL - IDOT The $4.6 million improvement consisted of deck replacement and structure widening at four structure locations carrying US 20 over Prairie Road and Simpson Road. 55 Franklin Street Connector – Illinois Department of Transportation As the Quality Control Manager on this $19 million reconstruction project in Chicago, Illinois; Dennis oversaw the QC for the reconstruction of five bridges over I-55 and the CTA train tracks and removal and replacement of several miles of pavement. I-55 / 294 Connectors – Illinois Department of TransportationDennis was the Quality Control Manager on a $13 million reconstruction project for the Illinois Department of Transportation at Indian Head Park, Illinois. He inspected the reconstruction of two bridges over I-55, addition of several new ramps, landscaping, 10,000 feet of noise wall, and the replacement of all roadway lighting including ductbanks, conduits and wiring.47th Street / Des Plaines River – Illinois Department of TransportationDennis was the Quality Control Manager for this $5 million bridge reconstruction and widening project. The project also included rebuilt footings & piers (increased spacing), added pedestrian walkway, and the used high performance concrete for bridge deck.State & Canal / I-55 – Illinois Department of TransportationAs the Quality Control Manager on a $6 million reconstruction project in Chicago, Illinois; Dennis’ QC responsibilities included the inspection and testing required for the reconstruction & widening of two bridges over I-55, patching & repairing existing piers. Also slip forming additional barrier wall at each abutment face, adding beams for widening, and reuse of existing beam. Bishop Ford Reconstruction – Illinois Department of Transportation This $20 million federally funded project; consists of removal and replacement of several miles of pavement, the reconstruction & widening of 7 bridges. Dennis was given the task of Quality Control Manager; he also oversaw PCC patching, adding columns, splicing additional pier caps, and adding beams for the widening.

Interstate 15 Reconstruction – Utah Department of Transportation Starting as a Materials Tester and rising to a Lead Bridge Inspector on a $2.14 billion reconstruction project for the Utah Department of Transportation in Salt Lake City, Utah.
