This company specializes in commercial and industrial renovations. At Towson University, I installed medical gas piping to equipment and fumehoods. At Bowie Belair Annex H.S. I made a lot of changes to the building as they gutted the school of plumbing and mechanical piping, and installed new work for laboratory classrooms, bathrooms, etc. This company specializes in commercial and industrial renovations. Back on with The Bell Company on projects in Chantilly, VA and Silver Spring, MD. In Chantilly, VA a private project facility for the government which requires a background check that included a combination of custom mechanical systems and plumbing. In Silver Spring, MD a private medical company 6 stories high with a parking garage attached to it. This project has an extensive heating hot water system throughout the building and a unique plumbing system since its design is like a modern “Concept” building design with a green roof. Show less

GRUS Personnel is a construction staffing company. They set me up with DeLauder Mechanical to work on jobs they have in Waynesboro, PA. On the first project (Catholic School), it was an expansion project and I was hired to set all of the plumbing fixtures which included the extra work involved to accommodate making the water and waste connections. I cut in shut off valves for the lavatory sink faucets, mounted the faucets on the sinks, set the sinks into the countertops, installed the grid drains and connected the drain pipes with a P-trap to the sanitary line. I cut the copper stub-outs for the toilets and urinals to solder on the brass threaded fitting for the flush valves. I shimmed at the bottom of the toilets since the concrete slab was poorly poured. I installed the drinking fountain, chipped out the floor around (4) floor cleanouts to raise them up to floor level, cut in shut-off ball valves in the main water lines which also served (2) wall hydrants, cut in 2 circuit setters in (1 each) in 2 bathrooms in the recirculating lines, cut off caps and extended the hot water and recirculate hw lines into an existing room and changed the piping to the water heater to include a new circulating pump since the existing water heater was to be the source of hot water in the addition. The other job I was on had me doing various installations in the domestic copper piping and waste piping for sinks and special laboratory equipment. Show less

The projects I was on were in Maryland. This company mainly does school projects. I was given blueprint drawings and conducted many installations such as bathroom layout and plumbing rough-in as well as kitchen layout/plumbing rough-in and plumbing fixture rough-in throughout the building from the ground work to finish. I installed mechanical piping systems for Glycol heating as well. Threaded steel piping, copper piping, hangers, riser clamps, split rings, anchors, etc. For the final inspection, I set fixtures, marked the “As Built” drawings, did the valve tagging chart, and labeled pipes. Also installed floor drains, cleanouts, Storm drains, Overflow storm drains, roof drains, floor sinks, grease interceptors, grease traps, set carriers in-wall support for lavatory wall-hung sinks, urinals, toilets, and drinking fountains. With 15 rooftop units, 4 large Condensing Units, Nitrogen system, Compressed Air system, Split Units, Deionized Water system, Natural gas piping system, Domestic Water and plumbing system being packed into a relatively small building, this project was a challenge to do and finish out with a small crew of 6 people in less than a year.
