GlaxoSmithKline is one of the world’s leading research-based pharmaceutical and healthcare companies. I had a year long engineering placement working with the Ellipta Inhaler. I was able to visit many of GSK's sites, RnD and manufacturing. Some of my work included:• Improved our data collection so different machine failure trends and loss in output were highlighted easily. For weekly strategy meetings, I visualized key trends for responsible stakeholders with Excel VBA and macros.• Coordinated changes and modifications to equipment within the facility, ensuring that the required standards of change management are met. • Knowledgeable with failure mode effect analysis (FMEA) in asset maintenance. Many spare parts for the Ellipta machines were duplicated, incorrectly stored, labelled or categorized on SAP, resulting in considerable hours of downtime when a breakdown occurred. • As part of the data-migration transition from SAP to M-ERPS, I cleansed and migrated core data to ensure that the new HR system mirrored the old one. With a team of technicians, I lead the re-structure of the asset and spares structure on the system.
