I started working at Met Resultaat Bijles as a tutor for students in Secondary school in the Dutch, English and French language . Over time, I also thaught mathematics to children in Primary school and helped children in Primary school with their reading comprehension. Furthermore, children not only struggle with certain topics, they especially struggle with the organisation of learning. Data-manager Project MIND

The MIND project is a study into bilingual childcare in the Netherlands. 11 childcare organisations offer childcare in both Dutch and English or French to children in the age of zero to four from 2018 until 2022. A team of researchers at the University of Amsterdam is investigating how children, who attend such bilingual centers, develop their language proficiency.As a student-assistant/data manager, I visit several organisations to test children on their language proficiency in English, transcribe data, and take care of some other organisational tasks. At English is our Business, I mainly focussed on tutoring the French, Dutch and/or English language to children at secondary school. Besides tutoring these languages, I also contributed to writing didactics for books used at secondary school and, lastly, I also translated several kinds of texts from Dutch to English. Internship: Centre for Language Studies

I followed an Internship at the Centre for Language Studies during my Masters General Linguistics. During my internship at the Centre for Language Studies, I contributed to a PhD project called: "How early foreign language education influences pupils’ linguistic and cognitive development. A comparison between monolingual, “VVTO”, and early bilingual primary-school pupils". This contribution mainly involved acquiring data and communicating with the children that participated and their parents. The data was acquired by means of experiments, which mainly consisted of tasks that the children had to conduct on a laptop.
