Bio
Jace McGough
Deneb is an incredibly smart and talented developer, and a genuinely nice person. I was a student with Deneb, and we worked on a project for a client together. Deneb is always available, and he goes above and beyond what others require of him. On top of that, he cares about people and always tries to make everyone feel welcome. Deneb is a valuable asset for any team.
Henry Doan
Deneb is an excellent developer when it comes to web development. His persistence in solving and debugging coding problems is exceptional even though all hope seems lost. When it comes to learning, Deneb is intentive and engaged in the topics presented at DevPoint Labs, which shows his joy in learning and trying new concepts. Lastly but most importantly is Deneb's passion. His passion for coding, his passion for people, and his passion to combine his interests of people and coding to create an amazing side project of Book Doctors, a website where people can share information and learn about books. It is truly an honor and a privilege to work with somebody that is one of a kind that shares all of these characteristics and would be an excellent addition to any team.

DevPoint was the first computer coding bootcamp in Salt Lake, and is still the best rated one, according to Course Report. I took their rigorous 11-week program where we learned Ruby on Rails for the back end of a web application, and React JavaScript for the front end, along with a host of other technologies and protocols to get us up to speed with the industry and train us to be enthusiastic, contributing members of the team from day one! Online Spanish teacher
-
Aug 2012 - May 2018
Teach live Spanish classes remotely to high school classes in rural Oklahoma. Through audio-visual internet technology I teach with comprehensible input, which is finding meaningful ways to repeat the language structures taught in class enough times for the students to internalize them and be able to use them in real conversation. I taught families where they could save money on their monthly expenses, how to invest it for their future, and how to protect themselves financially. More than anything, I taught families how money works, and how they should make it work for them. I mentored the senior class, teaching them history, government, literature, writing, and speaking. I also taught mixed-grade classes in Shakespeare, Algebra, Theatre, and Ballroom dance. As a school, ILA focused on developing leadership skills and a deep understanding of principles of government, particularly in the senior year. I was particularly responsible for developing these skills in my twelve- to fifteen-person senior class, and to a lesser extent with the other mixed classes I taught.
