Dena and I worked together in the Alma College Admissions Office. She was a wonderful colleague: she truly cared about providing exceptional service to each family with whom she worked, and was always willing to help another admissions representative who needed guidance. We considered her our resident expert on some of the more complex financial aid issues, and she also spearheaded a variety of ancillary projects. In addition to recruiting incoming students, Dena's primary role was to coordinate all our on-campus admissions events. She did a fantastic job, especially with the complicated scholarship interview days! She was responsible for every little detail: coordinating the physical set-up of all our spaces, ordering refreshments, scheduling all informational sessions, managing the entire admissions staff on the days of the events, deciding on event follow-up communication and more. Under her leadership, the quality of our events improved and played a key role in the record classes enrolled by Alma College.
