Bio
Alicia Paullin
I have had the honor of working along side Dena at the Art Institute, for both of us, in a number of capacities, and over the course of several years. There are a few characteristics that resonate from Dena, regardless of the formal position title: - her ability to see the whole person, whether prospective/current student or colleague. - her genuine ability to reach people where they are and support them through their end goal. - her boundless compassion and heartfelt desire to see the success of the people around her, again, student and peer alike. - and, her seemingly effortless ability to whip an event into place or initiate a process with guaranteed success. She is a champion of students and a sure-fire asset to any team!

Dena is the most professional person I have ever worked with. This is not hyperbole. If I had to use one word to describe her, it would be "Integrity". When Dena commits to something, she sees it through to completion while maintaining budget and timing. She knows exactly how to make things happen, and she will make sure that the client (in our case, the students and faculty) is happy and gets exactly what they need with a minimum of fuss. Her compassion means that she makes sure that everyone is well taken care of, and I dare say that without her, our place of employment would have collapsed long ago. I would work with her again in a heartbeat, and if I ever needed to hire someone to get planning and implementation of anything done, I'd seek her out first.
