In this period I published numerous peer-reviewed papers, abstracts, videos and an invited book chapter. I was Course Director for post-graduate Continuing Medical Education programs and I participated in the education of medical students, residents in OB/GYN and nursing students. I was recruited in 1988 to develop an OB / GYN Group. At that time Sherman had 1800 births per year. Within five years I had taken Sherman over 3000 births making it one of the highest volume OB facilities in Illinois. With locations in Crystal Lake and Hanover Park referrals from its extended catchment areas were increased markedly. Pediatrics and Assisted Reproduction were also added. In 1993 CHR-NW was first In Vitro Fertilization laboratory outside the city of Chicago. Soon we developed a regional network of offices throughout the entire Chicago metropolitan area. CHR held exclusive contracts with HMO Illinois, Prudential and numerous other plans for Assisted Reproductive Services at various times.
