As an AMARD Fellow my mission was to help underprivileged kids express themselves through art. This meant making sure they felt open to expressing themselves. Emailing them what their art assignments for the next day and giving them moral support to complete it. This also entailed discussing community issues such as poverty, drug use, and violence. Through art these kids were able to express heavy topics affecting their community. As an AMARD Fellow my mission was to help underprivileged kids express themselves through art.
