  In my current role I partake in the caring of vulnerable adults who have a long standing mental health illness along with alcohol and substance misuse and addiction. My main duties include supporting residents throughout day to day tasks from laundry to escorting to appointments, ensuring medication is taken correctly and within the time frame prescribed, administering medication, conducting first aid when needed, liaising with care teams, social workers, crisis teams and management, completing documentation for legal and medical purposes, reporting and recording incidents, monitoring changes in behaviour, circumstances, mental health and physical health, ensuring the safety of the residents and safeguarding regulations are met and taking the regular response when required.
