  I'm currently working at Insight Collective, a private practice that specializes in child and adolescent neuropsychological assessment. Not only am I gaining valuable experience in administering psychological assessments and report writing, but I'm also learning how to facilitate therapy groups for kids with psychological disabilities and their parents. It's been incredibly rewarding to work with these families and see the progress they make. As part of my training, I've had the opportunity to administer several assessment batteries, including the Wechsler Adult Intelligence Scale (WAIS-IV), Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children (WISC-V), and the Delis-Kaplan Executive Function System (D-KEFS).   During my time at the South Central Training Consortium, I had the opportunity to work with a diverse population of students and families in Los Angeles. As a part of this nonprofit organization, I received training in mental health counseling, program development, and case management consultation. I found the experience to be truly rewarding, as I was able to communicate effectively with parents, teachers, and principals to better understand my students' needs and growth. It was also fulfilling to provide individual and group therapy sessions, and to see progress in their treatment. In addition to conducting intakes and suicide/homicide risk assessments, I made sure to properly document notes on each student's progress and provide appropriate resources to the community. Overall, working at the South Central Training Consortium allowed me to make a positive impact on the lives of those I served. Show less
