  I was a general news reporter covering East and South County Limerick for the County edition of the Limerick Leader newspaper, with responsibility for covering and sourcing a wide range of news, local politics and human interest stories within tight deadlines. I was also responsible for covering courts, local authority meetings etc. Part of my role was to use my own initiative to produce and develop stories on a variety of topics as well as to work on in-depth features as part of a team.
