I have worked for Hillingdon Council since 2004 in a variety of different roles. I am currently a Principal Appeals and Complaints Officer for the Exchequer Service. The role is a varied one covering mainly council tax, housing benefit and National Non-Domestic Rates. I am currently undertaking the IRRV Diploma studying Public Sector Finance and Revenues Administration, Revenues Law, and Management Studies. I regularly undertake online courses for my own personal development to improve my work, to provide a better service for our residents. I successfully managed and lead several teams within the Council. I always aim to be an inspirational leader motivating and coaching the team to improve, both as individuals and as a team. I have a proven record of achieving and exceeding targets. In addition to my main role, I am also an Emergency Response Officer (ERO) for the Local Authority. The purpose of the team is to assist the emergency services at the scene, providing any Council service that may be required, to assist in the response and recovery of the incident. During the Covid-19 Pandemic, I worked within a small team administering Business grants. As the pandemic progressed, I was tasked with the management of the Additional Restriction Grant. Working closely with the Head of Revenues, I drafted our scheme ensuring support was available to a wide range of business sectors. I implemented our scheme, ensuring our fund was distributed in full within the tight deadlines My key skills are: Effective Communication, Customer Service, Leadership, Analytical Thinking, Project Management, Problem Solving, Teamwork and Adaptability.
