Decreased behavioral symptomology through intensified mental health services to 15-18 children in foster care and with biological families using Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Parent-Child Interaction Therapy. Conducted assessments, developed treatment plans, and collaborated with DCFS, Family Preservation, Regional Center, and psychiatrists to reduce/eliminate PTSD symptoms in children, with special emphasis on treating children who had been sexually abused to improve home, school, and community functioning. Reduced symptomology for most clients at 3-month reassessments through sexual abuse group therapy for co-ed children ages 4-7 and girls ages 14-18 for approximately 56 children/teens annually. Facilitated a domestic violence children's group and a boys' anger management group for 68 children annually. Co-facilitated a Spanish-speaking Caregivers' Group to improve parenting skills with children who were sexually abused and to improve children's functioning. Co-facilitated an Equine-Assisted Psychotherapy (EAP) group with 40-48 teens annually to improve problem-solving skills, social skills, and adherence to boundaries.
