The Solar Light team is working hard to implement solar-powered street lights in less well-lit areas on campus so students can be safer at night! Worked with the team to figure out places which were dimly lit and where lamps could be installed. Worked to look through the different types of solar lamps could be bought and even researched about making one lamp from scratch. As Finance lead, I was in charge of figuring out applications to different funds so as to get enough money for buying different lamps.

The Chemical Engineering Car team builds a shoebox-sized car powered and controlled by chemical reactions for the annual AIChE-sponsored Chemical Engineering Car competition. The Al-Air Team is focused on providing power for the car through the use of an aluminum-air battery. Never having been used before by the Berkeley Chem-E car team, this project is focused on developing a battery that provides enough power to run the car and to get the power output as consistent as possible. The team tests additives, structural changes and side reactions to optimize our power output and to get the power source competition ready.
