After gaining the necessary Graphic Design skills I have been doing freelance work. This has mainly consisted of bespoke wedding stationery for many clients in the last three years. Using the skills from my work experience in branding, I’ve also produced for small local companies their business stationery and logos. As well as growing my work portfolio, I’ve used my degree and experience to support a local charity. This involved supporting them with the design of awareness leaflets, posters and illustrations to support their cause and raise awareness. The most recent voluntary work I have done includes the branding and logo design for a tour guide company in Sri Lanka called Destiago.

This isn't a job as such, but I have a portfolio of work on Redbubble which appears on a large amount of different products such as t-shirts, scarves, notebooks and many more and I have made a profit from the percentage that they give me after each sale. The work on here is mainly illustrated work made in Adobe Illustrator. This is an ongoing job of creating new ideas and seeing if they could fit into this companies brand identity. The work I have done so far is branding/clothing artwork work for ski/hiking apparel for a website that has recently launched. Using mainly illustrator I used artwork of mountains I had made and collaborated them with the branding the shop currently had. If you want to view the work I did for this it can be found on my Behance or Instagram. This is an ongoing job of creating new ideas and seeing if they could fit into this companies brand identity. I spent 3 weeks here on a work placement in my second year of University. Whilst there I shadowed the Senior Designer who specialised in UX/UI design.Whilst there I not only developed my skills with the Adobe suite, I gained experience working within a design team and liaising with other companies which were working on projects which were ongoing at the time. As well as observing web and app design I was set daily briefs designed to improve my skill in certain areas such as magazine design, iconography, banner design, web button design, image editing, poster design and branding.
