Ms Waddell is an excellent instructor, curriculum designer, and collaborator. As an Instructional Designer for Shoreline Community College, I have worked closely with Debra as she bravely took on creating and building a dynamic online communications course in a new learning management system. She provides quality student interaction and is passionate about the learning experience for her students and herself. Debra contributes to her colleagues and as a result, we hired her to be a faculty mentor for teaching and learning online with our new LMS, Canvas. Her contribution has been exceptional, as well as her teaching face to face and online.

Debra is an amazing communications expert and professor. Communication is an art and Debra is a master of that art! I have seen many professors at various colleges and Universities but I have never met anyone like Debra. She is so enthusiastic, passionate, knowledgeable and with such a positive attitude. Her first lecture on my first day of class literally blew me away. I have attended many great executive speaker sessions and seminars but no one came even close to the way of presenting speech/lecture and engaging audience like Debra. Debra’s speech is mesmerizing delivered with so much emotion, passion and grace. Her way of delivering speech makes a long lasting impression and an incredible impact on her audience. Every day I was rushing to her class to make sure I am not late because I didn’t want to miss a single word that was delivered by her. She speaks so gracefully with smile on her face that students were glued to her the whole time. I didn’t even notice how the time flew by and it was our last day of class, I was so sad. I usually can’t wait until the quarter is over but this was first time I was very sad. I was learning so much from her that I wanted to learn more about the art of persuasion and communication from this amazing and down to earth woman. Debra is very attentive towards her students and she is always in tune with her students. I remember there were students who couldn’t get up and say a word in front of a class because they were afraid and shy. Debra has this amazing magic to turn a shy person into a great speaker. I remember what she said
