Debra consistently displayed a high degree of professionalism. She trained me in different tasks related with the process of assembling and testing electronic equipment for marine research. She enjoys sharing her knowledge and encourages others with her positive attitude. She is diligent, patient and fun to work with.

I was a part of a team concerned with saving seeds and providing the community with information on how to save seeds, why save your own seed and the importance of community involvement. We presented our information to the public at many of the local libraries and even did a children's presentation. We also produced a small publication. In addition we were able to build a seed database for seed exchange! I was a field assistant working in Forest Pathology, particularly concerned with the Armillaria ostoyae fungi found in tree plantations. I worked mainly in the interior of BC collecting samples to be taken to Victoria for preparation and analysis. Location and mapping of tree plots;plant identification, data collection and entering data into spread sheets for statistical analysis were some of the duties included.
