I am responsible for the design of the Unlocking Potential (UP), ERDF-funded Future Focus Programme. This is a programme of activities and support to inspire businesses in Cornwall and IoS to innovate, adapt, create change or simply take positive steps towards doing something differently. In a world dominated by change, we believe in the importance of small businesses staying one step-ahead and remaining future-proof. Over the past 3 years we have been fortunate enough to bring some fantastic speakers to Cornwall through our carefully crafted plan of inspirational events. These events have provided key insights for business leaders, including practical steps, simple changes and tips for success. Working with smaller groups of businesses through Future Focus Labs, we offer a unique, facilitated, peer-to-peer setting in which to explore innovation challenges and opportunities in greater detail. Our excellent team of Business Development Managers are also on hand; working with business leaders to activate change including access to a range of resources such as small grants, supported jobs, field trips and research.
