I’ve known Debi Walter for more than 17 years, beginning with her volunteering for my first legislative campaign. In the years since, I’ve watched her re-enter the workforce after her daughters were grown, and witnessed her advancement and success as she’s progressed to managing the HR department at a major local healthcare facility. Debi connects with others and builds rapport quickly, especially with the front line workers that may not feel as engaged as they could. She has a gift for making them feel important and appreciated, and employees she is responsible for tend to be very loyal and dedicated to her. I’ve found that she tends to perform her duties with a Servant-heart attitude. While she is more than competent in fulfilling the duties of whatever job she’s held, she maintains a friendly and upbeat persona, and tends to have an uplifting effect on her office colleagues. Debi Walter would be a solid and contributing addition to almost any company Human Resources department.
