Serve as a liaison between Medical Staff, Administration, ancillary depts. and patients in matters pertaining to Medical Staff, Maintain Medical Staff credentials and quality files, Provides administrative support for Medical Staff leaders, Dept. Chiefs, Section & Committee Chairs, Coordinate and prepare of all hospital staff mailings, Produce mailing labels, respond to all correspondence, respond to requests for physician information, maintain Physician Lounge (x2), Prepare agendas with Department Chief, Section Head, Committee Chairman as well as with Quality Management personnel, Pharmacy and other regular contributors to meetings, Agenda and meeting minutes distribution, Coordinate standing reservations for Medical Staff Department, Section, and Committee meetings including Dietary and AV equipment needs, Prepare and distribute annual meeting schedules, Prepare meeting minutes and forward for appropriate review (Allow 3-5 business days for Chief to review), Maintain Medical Staff meeting attendance records, Notify appropriate staff of meeting changes / cancellations, Monitor follow-up activities from meetings, Maintain a complete set of meeting minutes, Confirm speakers and guests for all Medical Staff meetings, Confirm with speakers handouts and AV requests, Credentialing, Send out new member notification, processes credentialing at initial appointment verifying all appropriate documentation, signatures, privileging criteria, board certification, licensure, DEA is current, process credentialing at reappointment verifying all appropriate documentation, signatures, privileging criteria, board certification, licensure, DEA is current, Applicant activation / temporary privileges, Post Board Approvals for New applicants, Reappointments, Change of staff status, Clinical privileges Show less
