It has been a pleasure working with Debby for the past 4.5 years at IMACS. Debby has a love for learning new things and taking on significant challenges. When initially hired as a math enrichment instructor, Debby demonstrated an uncanny attention to detail as she breezed through our initial training program which is an extremely rare feat. Early in her tenure we realized that Debby had not only mastered our teaching methods, but she had also developed the communication and organizational skills to train new instructors. Subsequently, Debby was so effective in her training role that when a unique opportunity arose to open a new learning center, we offered Debby the role of Assistant Center Director. She accepted this challenge, which involved quickly mastering new skills such as marketing our program to new students/parents, hiring/training/managing staff and handling many other start-up activities. Based on my experience with Debby, I highly recommend her as I believe Debby will be an asset in any position that engages her intellect and creativity.

IMACS offers an extraordinary math and computer science enrichment program, designed for bright elementary and middle school students, teaching logical reasoning and creative problem-solving skills rarely taught elsewhere. As an instructor, I taught IMACS' Mathematics Enrichment and Computer Programming & Virtual Robotics classes, as well as placement classes that quantified IMACS' unique value proposition to prospective students and their families. I also engaged with IMACS families on curriculum-related issues, answered questions, and provided recommendations while maintaining excellent customer service. I functioned as a storyteller in the class to ensure the lessons were engaging and interesting to the students. As the assistant center director, I restructured and implemented a streamlined strategy for hiring and training all personnel. The hiring process included conducting interviews, managing advertisements, and teaching proprietary training and evaluation systems for new instructors. I acted as a liaison in the community to facilitate growth of the company and used various media outlets to ensure community outreach.

Score at the Top offered one-on-one tutoring and schooling options for students of various abilities. It is a K-12 SACS accredited school in South Florida. As a teacher, I prepared customized curriculum for each student I taught. I specialized in English and Social Sciences. The middle and high school English classes incorporated short stories, long literature, and all forms of writing (including expository, narrative, and persuasive papers). The elementary school students mastered vocabulary, reading, and writing. All curriculum was designed to suit the needs, interests, and ability of each student. As a tutor, I helped students with common core curriculum that they had difficulty with as well as prepared students for standardized tests. I worked with students in all grades and of various abilities. Students consistently showed an improvement in grades or test scores after working with me.

CBeyond was a telecommunications that offered small to medium sized businesses managed technology services. The role required lead generation through cold-calling, tele-prospecting, networking events and referral programs. It was also essential for me to learn to communicate effectively within my territory to generate a rapport and relationship that would extend after the initial consultation.
