As Risk Manager at TJUH, Debbie supervised a staff of 5 while performing risk identification through evaluation of incident reports & patient complaints and development of a proactive hospital risk management program. She led the risk management program of a large teaching hospital including incident reporting, trend analysis, education and claims management for self-insured trust. She also oversaw the liability claims brought against the hospital and its staff as well as developed policies and procedures to meet legislative changes and address liability risks. Moreover, Debbie developed litigation management guidelines to monitor attorney performance and ensure efficient claims management process as well as collaborated with quality assurance for improvement of the quality of patient care and worked with various hospital committees dedicated to patient safety.
