Community Representative

Oct 2010 - Jul 2016
My responsiblities as a Community Representative are to set up for different school meetings such as CEAC or SSC. I translate at said meetings for parents who do not fully understand english (and are spanish or portuguese speakers). I represent the parents at district meetings. My office is in the Parent Center where parents can visit to ask for help on whatever it is they need and I will do my best to accomidate such needs. I also do various things on the schools website, such a maintaining an up to date calendar and posting news or current events. I make posters and flyers for different parent workshops through out the year and I attend and assist at the many Parent/ Teacher confrences throughout the year. I send a weekly call in spanish to all the spanish speakers to inform them of the various events taking place that week. Another responsiblity I have is helping coordinate one of the biggest nights of the school year Senior Award Nights; I help assemble the program and awards.
