Kaitlyn Tarley Testing Administrator NC State University Raleigh, NC 27695 919-780-0712 ktarley@ncsu.edu 20 November 2019 To whom it may concern: I have worked with Debasish Parida for just under a year at NC State University in the Online and Distance Education department. Our division of the organization (DELTA Testing Services) handles exam administration for both on-campus and distance education students. For those six months, Debasish worked for us as one of our temporary proctors under the supervision of myself and another full-time colleague. Though this is a very short period of time to work with someone, I have easily noticed his character. Debasish is a hard-worker and detail-oriented. While we have encouraged the transition of many exams to an online platform, we still administer a number of paper-based exams. With these exams, it is imperative to pay close attention to the exam information details when handing out those exams to students. We have had many students receive an exam for the wrong course, but never from Debasish. Debasish always took the time and patience to make sure each exam was handled with care and attention to detail. Debasish is also extremely adaptable and reliable. I cannot tell you how many times we emailed Debasish at the last minute in need of a shift coverage. He was always quick to respond and extend his help to cover those shifts. Above all else, Debasish is a team player. He is friendly and personable to our customers and fellow team members. While we had various issues with many of our temporary workers, we never had trouble with Debasish. He is hard-working, detail-oriented, adaptable, reliable, and a team player. These attributes would make him a valuable asset to any company. He has been a joy to work with and will truly be missed. Respectfully, Kaitlyn Tarley Testing Administrator

Synthesis of Modified Polysulfone/Zinc Oxide Nano-Composite Membrane using Green Synthesis•Synthesized Polysulfone/ZnO nano-composite membrane used for wastewater treatment to produce high-purity water for reuse. •Prepared ZnO nanoparticles using green synthesis method which included the use of neem leaves extract mixed with zinc nitrate.•Phase inversion technique was used to produce the membrane and FTIR was used to detect the presence of the same. The addition of ZnO filler increased the porosity from 61% to 73%, increase of hydrophilicity by 18% and decrease of contact angle from 70o to 56o. Show less

Comparative evaluation of different types of retardant material as matrices for controlled-released drug delivery•Analysed wide array of polymers for forming hydrophobic, hydrophilic, lipid & mineral matrices as release retardant and were blended and compressed into tablets using Perkin-Elmer laboratory hydraulic press along with 3 active drug ingredients (neutral, acidic, basic), fillers, lubricants and flow promoters.•Dissolution studies were conducted for the in vitro drug release from the mixed matrix and the sample was analysed using UV spectrophotometer to construct plot between polymer content and release profile of drugs. Effect of polymer type on the release profile and release kinetics was studied using Higuchi’s equation. Show less
