A massive thank you to Getaway for sharing Kokoda with us. The planning was faultless.....regular walks were there to attend and the lead up to our trip gave us great confidence that one variable ( our fitness) was well covered. Deb Manders was sensational in her input and enthusiasm for our trip. It was a pleasure having her guide us and be a reference point for all our questions....we were well informed. Then there was the trip.....accom at Loloata was brilliant and gave us a real opportunity to meet the other trekkers. But what to actually expect....well that unfolded over the next 8 days. WOW....it was a challenging walk but at no point did anyone ever feel they were not going to make it. And make it we all did. Mick our guide was awesome. He shared our enthusiasm and was there with us at all stages. Warning....watch out for the "readings" that we all participated in at key points on the trek....guaranteed to stir the soul....and finally the porters....you guys rock. Brian Harding
