My responsibilities include guest speaking, planning, coordinating and attending health fairs and expos, collaborating with school district nurses… Show more As the community liaison for Rady Children's Hospital San Diego and Rady Children's Healthcare Murrieta, I strive to promote the importance of pediatric health and wellness , by educating the public on value of pediatric care and on the pediatric primary and pediatric specialty services provided in both the southern Riverside region and San Deigo. My responsibilities include guest speaking, planning, coordinating and attending health fairs and expos, collaborating with school district nurses to provide in-service and conference educational forums, assisting with the planning of community family educational events and serving as an overall resource where needed. Additional duties include identifying and assisting with fundraising opportunities to benefit RCHSD's foundation, working with in-kind donors and supporting Rady Children's Hospital's Auxiliary's Inland Empire Unit with their fundraisers and membership drives. In 2011, I launched the Murrieta Ombudsman Program which strives to identify challenges that patient families may be experiencing and assists them with navigating through RCHSD's various systems. This year I developed, launched and am currently managing the PCP Communication Initiative to improve communication between the primary care physicians and the hospital. In addition, I was recently assigned as RCHSD's on point representative to work with the International Patient Coordinator of UC San Diego's Healthcare International Patient Program which provides health services worldwide. Through this program I am responsible for facilitaitng and coordinating the care of RCHSD's pediatric patients traveling from the Middle East. Show less
