Clinical Supervisor of BHRS
-
Jan 2006 - Present
I have over 19 years of experience working in the mental health field. Much of that time I directly provided behavioral health services to children and their families. Currently, at Step By Step, my primary role is providing supervision and clinical oversight to 6 master's level clinicians in the Children's Behavioral Health program. My goal is to ensure clinical effectiveness of our clients' services. While we treat many childhood mental health issues, Step-By-Step, Inc, has a focus on providing behavioral health treatment to children and adolescents diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder. Other aspects of my position include providing supervision to 2 case managers, as well as interviewing, hiring and staffing Therapeutic Staff Support (TSS) workers, Behavioral Specialist Consultants and Mobile Therapists. As a BSC, I developed treatment plans, and oversaw the implementation of behavioral health treatment to children and adolescents with a variety of mental health diagnoses. As a MT, I conducted individual and family therapy with children, adolescents and their families, with a focus on those who have experienced some type of trauma in their lives. In addition, I supervised bachelor-level clinicians (TSS workers), and consulted with clients' families, teachers, other treatment providers and community members on the clients' behalf. Show less
